Thanks guys. I am going to Lake George by NY-Canada border and this seems like good info. But I am from NJ and we have the new tamper proof Drivers licenses which show immigration status and you need to produce all immigration papers to get one. Isn't that enough??

I would suggest councillor processing they're higher in the order than the counselor. But Do not try the consular processing because it's too hard to google it

How about the opposite problem. The LC wages are lower that what I am being paid. the LC reflects what I was being paid at the time it was filed. not sure if the lawyer screwed up. Right now, I am doing a similar job (non-IT, non-technical), but with wider responsibility and earning ~ 40% more. What now??

Lawyers are the sole reason for these confusion, you cant have lower pay than what is mentioned in LCA; you cant have higher pay than what is mentioned in LCA....
I bet you a lawyer can and will justify both rules, why because this is what they do....;-)

One other easier solution is "you promise to pay extra money to "desi_hydrabadi"
issue solved...your salary matches LCA...desi_hydrabadi gets more money his salary matches LCA....
both get GC...
relax and live hapily....
Just kidding man, donot think too much about it...i was worrying about this issue ( higher pay than LCA)...i did worry for quite a while and
a good friend said donot worry ...something will take care of it...
needless to say he was right...(economy did take care of issue for me...).

I used your website to search "USPS Express" and I got the answer I needed very quickly. Thanks for the website..
For everyones else benefit...
for cases that has to be filed by overnight courier that is by the USPS Express Mail the center will only pick up mails from the U.S Postal Service once a day and in the morning. Therefore any mail that is not picked up in the morning will be picked only the following day and is given a next day receipt date.

Hi Everyone,
Our Immigration status is EAD and my wife is pregnant,
We are very happy with the news..
There is lot of possibility for us to be in India during due date, based on few important events in family.
We would like to know.. if baby is born in India then what possibilities are there for us to bring baby along with us?
(if mother stays in India for couple of more months)
can baby also get Green Card when we (parents) are allotted green card?
All your advices are always appreciated.

If you have the baby in India, the baby cannot come to the US till your PD becomes current. Till then you cannot add any dependents to yr 485. Given that yr priority date is EB3 2007, that might be a long long time. It's a huge risk to take.
The other alternative is for you to switch back to H1, so you can get the baby here on h4. I'm not sure what that will do to yr 485 though.

In my company, even though everyone works 32 hrs, they are still considered full-time, as we keep receiving the regular full-time benefits.
So in that case, do they still have to file an Amendment? If incase, they file amendment,then do they file just LCA amendment or H1B amendment.
Also, if instead of working 32 hrs, if they allow me to work 40 hrs, but reduce my annual salary but maintain higher than the prevailing wage, then also do they need to
file an amendment? If yes, which H1B or LCA or both?

2. The employer MUST notify the DOL and/or USCIS in advance by filing amended petition if the terms of the employment changes during the validity period of H1B1 petition.
3. It is very common to file H1B amendment for changing from full time to part time, changing job location, or changes in job duties.

My HR called DBEC to get the final status of LC. They replied that "notice of forward" had been issued and since there is no query from that position. They have asked my Hr to call in 15 days to hear the final status.
Have you guys heard anything like "notice of forward"( it was something like this)...

Instead of opening a new thread, I am posting my question here cause this is related to my attorney mess.
My attorney was telling me that he filed my case with NSC on july 2nd and instead of sending my application with fedex he went in person and filed it in person to be sure. (he filed 211 cases in all). I am asking him for the proof of filing and he is telling that since he handed applications in person, he didn't have any acknowledgment from USCIS.
Today is August 15th and Can I file my case myself today, so that it reaches before Aug. 17th. Basically since I had all papers with me except medical reports. What would happen if my first application is accepted before second application is opened for entry into system.
Any, suggestions.

AP could be mailed but the applicant MUST be in the USA at the time of application.
According to my attorney, you can re-apply for AP from outside of the U.S. and have it delivered to a local consulate. This is a response from my attorney:

If the AOS is still pending you can do it yes. You can even have AP sent to
overseas consulate. Then it is just called PAROLE lol, as they are not
doing it in advance. Look at the I-131 and you will see about this and

but how do we know it reaches everyone waiting for GC. i think people active on IV are willing to contribute in one way or another, but we are unable to spread the message across EB community. as someone suggested, we need to send email to everyone registered on IV website and ask them to contribute in whichever way they can.

However, are you suggesting blue label is healthier than a cheaper whiskey, its funny.
And - although I agree that some traditional breakfast items could be low on fats/calories .. some of them are not (aalu paratha, pakoda etc), so cereal/oatmeal or egg white is an alternative.

May be it is positive for skilled legal immigration. Since CIR is not coming anytime soon, congress can look at improving exiting legal immigration and Administrative changes can happen!!
